It’s a Personal Choice, and Insurance Sucks

The best way to deal with a diagnosis of breast cancer is to go on a road trip. Mom, Sally and I took off to Homer, AK. We girls needed to talk. Sally relayed she was disenchanted with the local medical program. She had found a clinic she felt connected with called Envita. They had a program blending traditional treatment with alternative options. Options that make sense. Supportive detox for the liver, chemo tailored for her specific cancer and dosed appropriately. In-depth blood panels specifically designed to find the cause of the cancer. Supportive nutritional advice and lifestyle changes designed so that the cause of the cancer could be eliminated. Very personalized care unlike the run of the mill system that move people through the system like sheep.

Sally had learned a few things about her diagnosis through the local cancer clinic. She was at stage 2b Seemingly the perfect stage to find and treat cancer early. Sadly, she also learned her insurance won’t treat cancer until it’s a stage 3 or more. So what can we do?? Wait til she’s a 3?? Wait until the cancer is deep in her tissues and spreading to other areas?? Wait until she’s fighting for her life?? It’s contrary to common sense; why wouldn’t an insurance company encourage an early treatment? She also learned they would only cover the standard common treatment and had so many rules designed not to help.

Was there another option? I had come across a story about a man who had healed his colon cancer without chemo or radiation. He wrote a book and had a program. It seemed to parallel my beliefs of whole food, self healing, seven principles, etc. He had actually healed his cancer!! So for the next 650 miles and back we listened to the audiobook “Chris Beat Cancer”. He made sense, in fact it all made sense. Science is starting to show that traditional treatment of cancer has killed more people than its helped. 5 years is the benchmark for being a cancer survivor. 5 years??? Chris’s followers were living out their lives. Living! Not just surviving. Envita proclaimed to follow many of the same concepts. It wasn’t just the audiobook. It was all that I had studied, the fraud of the pharmaceutical companies, the lies of our health system, the poison in our food and products, and the knowledge and belief that with the right support, our bodies can heal themselves.

Sally chose to receive cancer support and treatment at Envita!
